The "International Quantum Technologies Forum 2023" hosted by the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and implemented by the Photonics Industry & Technology Development Association (PIDA) ), will be held on May 31 this year at the Taipei Import and Export Business Association/IEAT International Conference Center. There are two main themes in the forum, including: the application of quantum technology in Taiwan and internationally, and the innovative approach of quantum technology in start-ups.
Organizer Jeff Lin, Director of Industry, Science and Technology International Strategy Center ("ISTI"), Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) describes the importance of quantum technology in today's world. Keynote Speech by Nancy Liu, a researcher in the Electronics and Systems Research Group of ISTI, gives a lecture on "The Ecosystem, Services, Investment, and Opportunities of Quantum Computing in Taiwan".
The first part of the seminar is the application of quantum technology in Taiwan and the world. There are three topics. The director of the Quantum Computing Institute of Hon Hai Research Institute, Xie Mingxiu, gives a lecture on "Quantum Algorithms and Use Cases." The second topic is centered around "Quantum Computing Hardware: Ion-trap quantum computer"; the third one "Quantum Programs and Projects in the Nordics – Vinnova" is given by the Swedish Innovation Agency.
The second part comprises innovative approach of quantum technology in start-ups. The speakers include Finland's IQM Quantum Computers, Denmark's TBD, Australia's Quantum Brilliance, and speakers from Israel.
